With all the has served to keep everyone separated during the virus pandemic, it just wasn't feeling like Easter. So I got the inspiration to sling some sugar and bake up a little springtime cheer to share with our neighbors. These are dark chocolate cake with white chocolate buttercream frosting. Not my best cake decorating work, but it was fun to have the time to play....
After my divorce, I used cake decorating as a form of therapy. Whenever I missed my kids and felt depressed, I'd make another cake masterpiece and take it to share in the office where I worked. If the cake decorating didn't put me in better spirits, watching everyone enjoy the cakes did. After several years of that, I got to be pretty good! The crazy cakes I made became a tradition to mark family & friend's birthdays and other special occasions. (Scroll through to see some of them!)
