What is BobFest? An hour north of Nashville, nestled on a lush 15 acres along the Red River in Adams, TN, BobFest is a two day music, camping and arts festival. Hosted by the Cold Lunch Recordings and Nashville Psych Alliance, BobFest includes two stages stacked with 30 of the region's best bands and visual projections along with local artists, beer and food vendors, libations, community campgrounds, morning yoga classes, swimming and other outdoor activities.

When? BobFest takes place on the last weekend in September (28-29th) Doors open Friday at noon.

FAQ & Other things General Store will have all the basics. Ice, water, flashlights, etc. Local food vendors will be serving up tasty dishes all weekend and coffee each morning. This is an outdoor/camping festival, so dress and prepare accordingly. Bring a tent or hammock if you're camping. Check the weather before you come. We are on the river, so if you love kayaking / canoeing and swimming, Bring your gear. Festival is rain or shine. No outside alcohol. Cell service is limited (Verizon has fair reception)

During an Ayahuasca ceremony, the shaman is accessing the geometric patterns of energy, which transform through the vessel of the Maestro to a chant/song or icaro. The icaro is therefore a conduit for the patterns of creation, which then permeate the body of the shaman’s client, bringing harmony in the form of the geometric patterns in order to re-balance the client's body.

The purple color of this tapestry is produced from camote, a purple sweet potato. The icaro, or medicine song of the plants, is painted using huito berry fruit, which turns into a blue-brown dye once exposed to air. Huito is the same fruit the women used to dye their hair and paint on their skin.

My mother and sisters in Peru were dyeing their hair when I was visiting and accidentally splashed a bunch on my arm when walking by me with the pot of huito. I had a very interesting splash tatoo for a couple of weeks!
